I got into darts by watching it on television and also watching my dad and uncle play. We were sat at a dinner table one day when I was about 4 years old and I was on the opposite side to my dad. Something was said and I picked up my little fork and dad pointed to the middle of his head and told me to hit him there. I threw my fork and hit dad straight in between the eyes, so instead of telling me off he decided to buy me a set of darts. Dad said if I could throw a dart as straight as that in a few years time he’d be able to retire!
I first came to East Kent Darts Academy when I was 7 years old and I could already throw from a normal sized oche. At that age I became the first player to score 180 in the C team in its 10 year history and won Player of the Year in my first year. I gained promotion to the B team through Andy “The Boss”!
In 2021 I started playing for Sussex County Youth Darts team and during League Lockdown with the academy I hit a 13 dart leg, consisting of 60, 95, 130, 180 and a 36 1-dart checkout.
Rob Cross and Michael van Gerwen are the main players I look up to, but now I try and be my own inspiration, always trying to do better than the score before and never giving up.
